Text Messages (SMS) Terms
Effective October 17, 2026
The short version
- Only people who ask get texts. UpKeepr texts only users who type in their own mobile number, tick the consent box, and confirm the number with a code.
- What we send: one-time sign-in and verification codes only. No alerts, marketing or promotional texts.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- We never sell or share your phone number, and mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
1. The program
UpKeepr Sign-in Codes is the text-message program of UpKeepr, a facility maintenance management service operated by UpKeepr Tech LLC (Illinois, USA). It sends only one-time codes:
- Sign-in codes — a 6-digit code each time you log in, if you choose to get your codes by text instead of email; and
- Verification codes — a 6-digit code to confirm your mobile number when you add it.
It is used by the staff of organizations that use UpKeepr (for example, maintenance teams at healthcare and senior-living facilities). We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages.
2. How you opt in
Texts are always optional — you can use UpKeepr with email only. To opt in, a signed-in user:
- opens their name → My account → Text messages in UpKeepr;
- types their own mobile number;
- ticks the consent box, which says exactly:
"By checking this box, I agree to receive automated text messages from UpKeepr (UpKeepr Tech LLC) at the mobile number above containing one-time sign-in and verification codes for my UpKeepr account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using UpKeepr." - clicks Text me a code, and types the code we text to that number to confirm it.
The consent box is never ticked for you, and no one else (including your employer's UpKeepr administrator) can opt you in or add your number. After confirming, you can choose "Text my sign-in codes instead of emailing them." We keep a record of when you gave consent.

Text messages
3. Message frequency and cost
Right after you tick the box, we text a confirmation with a code: UpKeepr: 123456 is your code to confirm this phone for UpKeepr sign-in codes. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
Message frequency varies: you get one text each time you sign in with text codes turned on, and one when you confirm your number. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. UpKeepr does not charge for texts.
4. Opting out (STOP) and help (HELP)
- Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any UpKeepr text to stop all texts. You'll get one final message confirming it. Reply START to resubscribe.
- You can also remove your number at any time on My account → Text messages. Sign-in codes then go back to email.
- Reply HELP for help, or email help@upkeeprmgmt.com.
